Hi, I'm Ali! I like computers. A lot. I'm primarily interested in machine learning and the intersection of software and hardware. I also like biology, math, and writing. Currently, I'm focusing on learning about science, industry, and what I may want to do in the future.
I'm currently a freshman at MIT, graduating 2026. I plan on majoring in electrical engineering and computer science, and perhaps minoring in literature. Last summer, I was at the Recurse Center, a self-directed retreat for programmers.
In my sophomore year of high school, I represented the US at the European Girls' Math Olympiad as a member of the national girls' math team, and placed 20th in the entire world. Afterwards, I founded a bite-sized nonprofit called Athemath to make the highest tiers of math contests more accessible.
I'm actively looking for something to do next summer. I'm mostly interested in software engineering and machine learning roles, but am happy to do mostly anything that will get my feet wet. If you like how I think and want me to be part of whatever you're doing, check out my resume and please reach out!
